“Bring Spider-Man to us, Mr. Stark,” High-heels says and rattles off an address. “If that bug isn’t here in the next twenty four hours, then your intern gets it. We are not going to ask a second time.”

    There’s a pause.

    Then, “You want Spider-Man?

“In exchange for your intern,” High-heels affirms.

“Spider-Man,” Mr. Stark repeats. He sounds more amused than worried for Peter’s apparent safety.

also known as: Peter Parker is held hostage…in order to get to Spider-Man. Throw in some Accords reconciliation and, well, Peter’s life just got a whole lot weirder.

    Summary

"I … I don't get what I’m meant to do. I just throw my food into the fire and ... talk?" James, a son of Hermes asked -- Percy could recognise those blue eyes and elfish facial features anywhere.

Percy grinned, "Yeah, that's pretty much it."

James hesitated before looking down at his feet, "But ... Hermes has a lot of children more powerful and more popular than me. What would I even ask him for? It's not like he cares."

Maybe it was because Percy was reminded of that promise he wrangled from the gods at age sixteen, but one moment he was looking at the younger camper, and the next he was throwing some of his food into the fire and asking Poseidon for some Disneyland tickets very, very loudly.

But even though he wasn't quite sure how it happened, the small, shocked laugh that James let out made it worth it.

    Or

Percy sees that some of the newer campers don't feel 100% comfortable with requesting stuff from their godly parents, so he decides to rectify that the only way he knows how -- dramatically.

    Summary

“That was a disaster. The press is having a field day.”
“It wasn’t my fault,” Tony defends. “That Spider-Guy never knows when to shut up. He distracted me.”
“Your reputation took a blow,” Pepper tells him. “Which will be fixed, of course. I’ve already set it up.”
“Set what up? What, am I going to make flower arrangements with the elderly?”
Pepper slides a piece of paper towards him. “Try an orphan. His name is Peter Parker. His biggest dream is to meet you. But…” She hesitates.
    “But?”
“Apparently he doesn’t talk much. Sometimes not at all. Trauma-related.”
“A smart kid who doesn’t talk? Perfect combination. If only all my employees were like that.”
    ---
Or: Between Peter Parker barely speaking, and Spider-Man being the ultimate chatterbox, how was Tony ever supposed to figure out that they were one and the same person?

    Summary

When Peter has to write a history paper, he chooses Howard Stark and expects help from Tony. He doesn't expect Tony refusing to have anything to do with the project, or delving into Tony's past with everything -- and everyone -- it holds. Instead of backing down, Peter is determined to know everything he can, even if it means reopening old secrets and not-so-old wounds.

    Summary

No one ever really tells you what to do in the case of bus explosions, field trips, hostage situations, and identity reveals. Of course, the aftermath is ten times worse and, well, Peter just considers himself lucky that he doesn't have to figure that stuff out on his own.
