Summary
Remus returned to Hogwarts in 1993 on Dumbledore's request to teach Defence Against the Dark Arts and protect Harry Potter from the imminent threat of someone he once thought he knew better than himself. When he arrived, he came face to face with someone from his past he'd rather forget. Of course, Dumbledore had conveniently forgotten to warn Remus that the resident Potions Master was his estranged brother-in-law.
Based on the prompt: A Harry Potter AU where Regulus Black is the Death Eater turned spy/Potions Master.
Follows the canon timeline of PoA from Remus' POV, and most events are canon-compliant or canon-adjacent (aside from flipping around Severus' and Regulus' storylines) until the scene where the truth is revealed. After that, it will be almost entirely AU.- Language:
