To want in a way that would cause you to lay down your own life for it. He wants Eddie to wake up, to live, to be here. Even if that meant Buck was the one lying unconscious in a hospital bed with a bullet in his chest. He'd go through all of that just to have Eddie awake again."

    Or, a little alternate idea for the shooting where Eddie ends up in a coma & professionals have to be the one to break it to Buck that he's now Christopher's legal guardian, at least until Eddie wakes up. Buck has to come to terms with what decisions Eddie made & face the meanings behind them.
