Kyo woke up and saw that Tohru's side of the bed was empty, neatly made, which hinted she's been gone for quite a while. He vaguely recalled her telling him she was going somewhere and then kissing his forehead, but it was hazy. She always was an early riser, and normally he was too, but today he felt...lethargic. Even just sitting up was a struggle, limbs heavy with fatigue and aching, and he had a headache. Was he getting sick? He heard the gentle patter of something hitting the roof and looked out the window.

Kyo loves to cuddle more than he’d ever outwardly say.
He would’ve never known about cuddling if it wasn’t for Tohru. They’d hug for the first time, really for the first time without him becoming a cat, when the curse had broken. Following soon after he’d be hugging her all the time and soon the hugging lingered and they would just stay holding each other as long as possible before they’d have to go about their day.

The rain was coming down hard. The thunder almost as booming as Kyo’s steps down the stairs. Tohru knew that he hated this kind of weather. The kind that traps a person.
She knew that Kyo craved company. Whether or not he’ll admit is an entirely separate ordeal, but despite the stereotypical ‘lone cat’, he’s more like the one who will bat and claw until you finally give him attention. It's rather adorable. That is also something that will never be admitted.
