    Eri grew up in a room across the hall from a wild-haired boy with a mask over his mouth, separated only by a narrow hallway and two clear glass walls. The little girl doesn’t understand why they’re being kept here, but she figures it has something to do with their quirks, and she has no memory of anything else. The people with clipboards are afraid of her, and they’re even more afraid of the boy with the strange mask. And though she’s never spoken to him, she knows him better than anyone else in this awful place, and he’s the only one who never tries to hurt her. But she’s worried about how much longer he’ll last. All the other children are gone.
