The appearance of the man had a very obvious impact on the crowd as they were trying to muffle the excitement. Some started to cry, covering their mouths under the masks.Gallagher watched the man approach the pulpit making everyone practically pulsate with an unbearable emotion. And then he spoke:
— As bequeathed by my predecessor: I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. So rejoice, all of you, for I have been returned to you to absolve your sins.
My what..?
The crowd howled, not hiding their tears and that insane, sick happiness anymore.
Gallagher stood there frozen, the entire course of religious reading as an object of philology flashing in front of his eyes.

The stage lights are cooking Scaramouche alive.
He’s sweating like a pig, but Kazuha once said it adds to the performance and he ‘looks good like that’—when the lights make his skin glisten, beads of sweat running tracks down his face—so it’s… excusable. As his fingers work the strings and frets of his guitar, his muscle memory kicks in, voice pouring out breathily against the mic as it’s meant to be.
