“What’s your name, kid?” Shouta blurted the question in a rare moment of impulse.
The child only glances at him, chewing his lip with anxious eyes like he’s done something wrong, before making his move on their sand board. “Iz-Izuku. What’s your name, M-Mr?”
“Aizawa Shouta. Nice to meet you, Izuku-kun.” Manners taste weird, Shouta decides as he gives a polite nod.
Yamada and Aizawa have been married for three years now, together for five, and despite still being fairly young and just getting a handle on being pro heroes they’ve decided they want to start a family together, starting by going to a children’s home for a visit and playing with the kids to figure out what they’re getting into, with the intent of eventually adopting when their careers become stable. But no one told them that sometimes it's the kid that chooses, not the parents, and the universe is a bit impatient to see a certain green haired child's happiness.

Izuku tried then to shove Katsuki away, ignoring the agonizing ache in his body. Katsuki glowered and easily caught his wrists, forcing him to still. They made eye contact and crimson eyes were wild, far deadlier than Izuku had ever witnessed in another person.
“Who.” Katsuki spoke simply. “Tell me who did this to you.”

Izuku turns around at the voice and sees Kirishima leaning his shoulder against the door frame. He’s wearing a light green sweater that looks soft to the touch and the little black cuffs in his ears stand out against the red of his hair. Izuku tries not to think about how soft that probably is too.
He smiles wide, holding up the strawberry chapstick up for Kirishima to see. “Just got some new chapstick.”

Summary
Izuku has a cat quirk. When he was 4 the building he lived in collapsed. After that he lived on the street as a cat for 9 years, only surviving because the hero that saved him from the rubble, who he knew as ‘Eraser’, kept bringing him food and drinks. Through the years he was on the street, he became a vigilante that mainly saved kids. When Eraser found out the cat he’d been feeding was the missing kid they’d been looking for years ago, he took him in as his own. But years upon years of living on the street at such a young age, then being thrown back into society, isn’t easy.
