Summary
It's a day like any other - Mu Qing drives to work after taking care of his daughter (and his stupid husband, alright), and then teaches maths for the duration of the school day. Only that, in the middle of class, the school's secretary comes in and tells him that he needs to leave for the hospital right now, because his mother is dying.
By the time he arrives, she's already dead. Never even having gotten to say goodbye, Mu Qing starts getting worse and worse, lying around in bed all day, unable to even shower, and neither Feng Xin nor their daughter seem to be able to help him in the slightest.
