Summary
Juntae relaxed without noticing when it happened. He started talking more, adding small comments, laughing quietly when Baku said something stupid. At one point, he mentioned fieldwork coming up, just as part of the rhythm of the table.
“Early mornings,” he said. “Cold water.”
“That sounds miserable,” Baku said.
“It’s not,” Juntae replied. “I mean, it is. But it’s good.”
Seongje finally spoke.
“Depends where you are,” he said, voice low but steady. “Some coasts are better than others.”
Juntae looked up, surprised.
“Yeah,” he said quickly. “That’s true.”
or; Keum Seongje seems to hate Juntae, but Juntae, ever the sweetheart, can't help but try to see the best in everyone. Seongje is not able to keep up his facade for long and realizes that Juntae is, infact, not a threat to his person, he might actually be good for him.
