The admission unleashes a flood of emotion that she’s been holding back.
“I know you’re home as often as you can be with the responsibilities you have. But even when you’re here, I still miss you,” she says as her eyes grow glassy from the beginnings of tears. “When you are home, our attention is always on the kids. And then we’re both exhausted.”
“I can’t remember the last time we kissed,” she whispers, saddened to say such a thing, and a little embarrassed that it has weighed on her so heavily. “Not just a peck as you’re leaving or coming home, but… a real kiss.”

“You are thinking awfully hard about snacks, Yaoyorozu.”
Momo jolts at the sudden, though familiar, voice. She spins, nearly decking her former classmate in the face with a plastic tub of mixed nuts.
Todoroki’s reflexes are as quick as ever. He raises his palm to calmly intercept the impending blow like it’s nothing. Meanwhile, his gaze remains fixed on the bag of rice crackers in Momo’s other hand.
“You like those,” he says with a tiny nod. “So why are you taking so long to decide?”
Momo blinks up at him, still shocked by his unexpected appearance. She hasn’t seen him in at least a month or two. And even on the rare occasion that their agencies team up or a large enough crisis occurs that requires response from all pro heroes in the area, they don’t usually get the chance to talk one-on-one like this. In short, it has been quite a while since she has had any significant conversation with Shoto Todoroki.

He is wracking his brain for an escape plan when Yaoyorozu suddenly rounds the desk and pulls him roughly by the collar of his shirt, just as he hears the doorknob turning.
Shoto is completely unprepared when, instead of shoving him out of sight, Yaoyorozu crashes her lips against his. She swallows his breath of surprise in a full kiss, gripping the back of his neck and pulling him closer until they stop with an abrupt bump against the desk.

She gives a short, only slightly exasperated exhale and grins at the sleepy voice. Normally such a deep sleeper, she never will understand how he always seems to be so sharply attuned when it comes to her movements specifically.
“Yes, it’s me,” she whispers back. “No need to move. I’m just slipping in.”
Despite her saying this, he rolls, pulling at the blanket, to face her. Momo scoots herself next to him and readjusts the covers before settling. Shoto tugs her closer and wraps an arm around her waist. She smiles, feeling the solidness of his head resting against her upper back, his hair soft against the back of her neck, his breaths tickling her through her t-shirt.

"Eh, no way! I would have killed to be Juliet! Not that I would hurt a single hair on your head, of course, Momo,” Mina says with a pat to Momo’s head.
"Hm?" At the sound of her name, Momo glances at her friends. "What was that? Sorry, I was...distracted."
Their literature class certainly threw her for a loop. Not only did she receive a positively abysmal grade, but Midnight announced that their class would be performing the play Romeo and Juliet and casted Momo as Juliet.
It's a lot to take in on a Monday morning.
"I don't blame you. You really got the short end of the stick with your, er, co-star," Kyoka says, wrinkling her nose as she inspects her nails. "I wouldn't want to deal with him."
Oh, yes. There's that too.
