Summary
“Iceland.” Hopper says abruptly, interrupting the silence.
“What?” Mike asks, confused by this sudden outburst. He sits up and glances over at Hopper, who is fiddling with his thumbs.
“You should go there, to Iceland. There’s a small village in the south, it’s called Vik, you should go.” Hopper says, his voice is firm but his hands are still fiddling.
“Iceland? Wha- I don’t understand.” Mike says. Hopper leans in closely, an urgent look dawning on his face.
“Mike, trust me. Go spend a few weeks up there, I promise it will do you good. I think, if you’re lucky, you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for.”
Post-finale fix it where Mike travels to Iceland by Hopper's suggestion.
I wrote most of this before the finale so it doesn't exactly line up with canon, but my guess was pretty close so hopefully it doesn't effect the reading experience too much :P
