“Friend Tony! Banner told me you would awake from your slumber soon, though I admit I did not foresee it taking so long.”
“Uh, yeah, sorry about that. Had a real doozy of a weekend—beer pong, strippers, pondering my mortality, all that fun stuff,” he said distractedly, “Why is your insane megalomaniac brother standing in my living room?”
Thor frowned and looked back as if he forgot Loki was even standing there; must be nice, “In truth, my friend, I would prefer to have the rest of the Avengers here to tell our story, if I may be so bold. I would rather not repeat it twice.”
“Right,” he drawled, shifting his gaze from Thor to Loki, who was pointedly looking away, to Bruce, who was nonchalantly sitting on the opposing sofa and watching Loki’s every movement, “Avengers Assemble?”

Stripped of his voice and (most) magic, Loki is sent to Earth to earn his chance at 'redemption.' Only redemption doesn't look like bringing to heel the ones who defeated him, so much as it does trying desperately to maintain the façade he so carefully crafted when his mind and body just seem to want to crumble beneath him.

Summary
It's been a week since Phantom was apprehended by the GIW, and Mr. Lancer has been watching Amity Park slowly fall apart without its resident hero to help protect it. However, when Phantom shows up again late at night in his backyard, looking half feral and restrained by chains and a muzzle, Mr. Lancer decides it's time to return the favour and help rescue Phantom for once.
But what started out as just a simple offering of tea and a safe space to rest soon sets events in motion that lead to Mr. Lancer discovering a secret that turns his whole worldview upside down.
