Summary
Kiyoomi was never good at getting people to like him, maybe he’d do the opposite. He’d finally have Atsumu hate him and make shit easier on himself. He could just die.
The thought wasn’t as comforting as he thought it would be.
He let out another wet cough into his palm before hacking into the sink. It was disgusting, it was all along the metal walls of the sink now. Staining it red, the buds were almost fully formed now. It was small, the yellow petals shining through here and there underneath the red stain. Yellow Carnations.
~
“We aren’t friends.”
Atsumu didn’t retract his hand. “Aren’t ya tired of trying to make yerself believe that?”

Summary
Kiyoomi wasn’t a jealous man, the women he had dated in the past never made him want to claim them, mark their skin with his teeth or carve his marks into their plush thighs. Kiyoomi never felt the need to be claimed. He would never imagine what he'd look like covered in his partner's love bites and teeth marks. He didn't think about showing them off proudly just to prove some type of point but Atsumu changed that. Atsumu was somehow always the exception.

Summary
Reki began to protest but Langa cut him off pressing the other boy’s hand to his heart. The warmth of Reki’s hand was seeping through Langa’s shirt and he wanted to live in that feeling. Langa’s heart was racing, threatening to come out of his chest and he knew Reki could feel it, hell he could probably hear it now. “Do you feel this?” he insisted, looking at Reki begging him with his eyes to understand. “It only gets like this with you so please. Please, I want to be by your side again. You said we weren’t a good match, but I want to be. I want to be your match.” Langa whispered.

Summary
Hinata smiled at the memory, goosebumps forming over his skin. He shook his head and finished his counting. 25, there were 24 stuck to the ceiling and one stuck on the wall near his head. Hinata rolled his shoulders and rubbed his neck tiredly. The nightmare tonight wasn’t as bad as it had been the previous nights. He never remembered them. All Hinata knew was the familiar sense of dread and fear that would make his heart beat so loud he swore it reverberated around the room. They always made his back rigid and tears flow down his cheeks freely and every night just as his body began to tremble Kageyama would pull him impossibly close. His shirt sleeve always smelled clean, like laundry that had been freshly washed; but his chest smelled like lavender.

Summary
After a while, Kageyama kind of just...forgets how angry the floral snapback makes him. It becomes a companion, almost. It's seen him through many a late library study session, through feeding planaria and wrestling bean beetles into petri dishes. He feels something close to affection for the ever-present hat.
Oh no, Kageyama thinks. I'm attracted to a douchebag.
(The AU where struggling college student Kageyama meets and very unfortunately falls in love with his frat boy lab partner, Hinata.)
