Summary
After the deaths of both his parents, Severus decided to finally end it all. There was nothing for him to fight for, his will to live had long been shattered at the hands of boys and men.
Faith has never been kind to him, not when he had been paired with the very boy he loathes. Even if Lily was also his soulmate, Severus had already ruined whatever chance he had that day by the lake.
Death on the other hand would probably treat him gently, at least, more gently that at the hands of any men that had been in his life.
