It’s funny, Foreman thinks. Cameron had said something very similar, and yet totally opposite, after his first week on the job: it’ll be weird, having you around. Quick to clarify, of course, that that wasn’t a bad thing, only that she’d spent six months in Diagnostics with just her and House and Chase and the occasional interloper, not that any of Foreman’s predecessors had ever stuck around for more than a week or two. I have a feeling you will, she’d added, with only a slightly false cheerful smile, like that was enough to cancel out Chase glowering in the background. Half-right and half-wrong, as Cameron usually is.
