Summary
I have never regretted anything. All my choices are in the name of Blackrock, made to repay my benefactors and the generosity they showed by taking me in when I was at my lowest. Blackrock shall reign supreme.
But if I could redo any one choice, relive any one moment...
Maybe I would have agreed, when he said what we were doing was too unethical. I don't know anything about that sort of moral dilemma, I've never felt any guilt over exploiting the people. If they didn't want to be taken advantage of, they shouldn't be so weak. But he does. And maybe, if I could go back, I would have agreed with him.
Because then I wouldn't have lost him.
Medkit is but a distant memory of the past now, little more than the executioner who I will seek out when the rot threatens to overtake me.
How lucky I am, then, that the brain is the last organ to shut down upon death. Plenty of time to remember—
"Aaaaaand Subspace is down, shot by none other than his sworn enemy!"
—that he was mine, once.
