'Sonya scoffed and looked at her with contempt. “The only reason anyone even found out is because you brought your injured space girlfriend here.”
The Doctor laughed loudly, surprising everyone, before covering her mouth. She avoided Yaz’s exasperated eye contact.
Yaz glared at Sonya with her arms crossed. “We're not - She’s not my girlfriend. We just travel together as mates.” She could feel the heat blooming in her cheeks and it took an embarrassing amount of effort not to trip over her words as she spoke.'
When the Doctor is badly injured, with a fair amount of bickering and a lot of love, Yaz and the Khan family nurse her back to health.
Or: That hurt/comfort fic we've all been craving while we wait for the new season. Lots of Khan family humour and TARDIS fam cuddles!
