Jungkook doesn't respond, just stares straight ahead at the wall as he lifts his leg onto the barre. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"He's lovesick," Taehyung points out.
Lovesick. Like the tattoos on Yoongi's pale hands. Strong, warm hands that made Jungkook feel so small. He's taller than Yoongi by a good few centimeters, but he had felt so small beside him, small with Yoongi's hands on him.-OR-
As a professional ballet dancer, Jungkook's life is filled with leaps. It's nearly routine, doing a temps levé, a jeté, or a sissonne in any combination. The only leap he hasn't anticipated is the one he wants to take towards Yoongi, the tattooed pianist with a smile like sunlight.

admittedly, yoongi would be the first to say that it’s not the weirdest thing his sleep-addled brain can come up with: a young man rolling into the corner of his desk with a muted thud, looking up at him with a wide smile — he’s striking, with rosy cheeks and huge dark eyes sparkling with something yoongi can’t quite catch. he's also completely naked. “hey, hyung,” the guy says, still grinning, and promptly vanishes.
yoongi just blinks, headphones still in his hands, and stares down at the carpet for a while. the clock reads 3:47. he needs sleep.
but then it happens again, and again, and again—and years later, he has to appreciate the delicate ways in which the universe has aligned to bring them together.
(alternatively: yoongi’s already known jeongguk for years by the time jeongguk first meets yoongi. a time traveler's wife au.)

yoongi can’t help but laugh. and jeongguk laughs with him, a beautiful, boisterous sound. he remembers every goddamn time he makes jeongguk laugh, storing it away for the dark days. and he knows jeongguk is still angry, still convinced that this found family is toxic for him—but yoongi has a few days to spare. and he’d follow jeongguk around the world if it means being there when he finally decides to come home.
(or: jeongguk runs away, again. yoongi runs away with him. one day, he'll be able to give jeongguk a reason to stay.)
