„Hollander?“, Ilya said.
„Yes. What? Why’re you waking me up this early?“, Hollander replied. Ilya heard the sound of sheets being crumpled on the other side of the phone.
„Is not early for your body apparently. Your fucking alarm woke me up! Me as in you! Fucking hell! I woke up as you. And looks like you are me“, Ilya rambled out frustratingly. He combed through his hair—not getting caught in curly tangles.
„Slow down, Rozanov. I can’t follow you“, Hollander said. More sounds of crumpled fabric. Why was Ilya the one freaking out? Normally Hollander was the one having a panic attack.
„I woke up in your apartment. In your body. Looks like I’m you now“, Ilya enunciated each word.
„Shit!“, Hollander exhaled loudly.

Shane and Ilya woke up one day and swapped bodies "Freaky Friday"-style.

Summary
After being forced into an early retirement from the NHL due to debilitating mental health issues, Shane Hollander moves back to Ottawa in an attempt to rebuild his crumbling life. Two years later, at the age of 23, he's an ice rink manager and only slightly less miserable than before.
Shane can never go back to the NHL, but he yearns to skate again. If he's going to play hockey for himself, he's going to have to confront his anxiety holding him down- and that might be a harder challenge than winning a Stanley Cup.
