Antonio Madrigal is fifteen and feeling a little unappreciated when he notices cracks in his ancestral family home the night of his prima, Mirabel's, gift ceremony. Too bad no one believes him and thinks it's just a ploy for attention, or a stress hallucination.
Talking to animals doesn't do much good in the realm of interpersonal relationships, but Antonio's going to have to figure it out anyway, and maybe figure out what's got his sister so stressed and his brother so irritable along the way.
