When El had let slip that Hopper had never had any intention of returning from the last crawl, white noise had filled Joyce's ears. She hadn't heard much else the girl had said after that, truthfully- was too fixated on El's description of the, for all intents and purposes, suicide vest Hopper had donned in the Upside Down. It cycled through her mind as she paced deeper into the depths of the radio station, leaving the kids' chatter behind.
