“Might?” Ezreal says, tone playful but grating on Kayn’s nerves. “Oh, Kayn, I’m hurt! I thought I was clear enough for even you to understand…”
Before he can even think, Kayn is turning around to face him. He can feel it on his face that he looks pissed.
“Cut the bullshit,” oh God, what the fuck is he doing? Rhaast would be cackling right now if he were here. “You can’t give me mixed signals then pretend I’m the stupid one here.”

Summary
It wasn’t unusual for Kayn and Ezreal to poke fun at each other. If anything, it would be strange if they didn’t. Which is why, after a spur of the moment kiss, the shift in their relationship is so much stranger.
With Kayn spending so much more of his time in Ezreal’s room, the two of them simply existing together, it becomes clear that their bickering had never been as black and white as Ezreal had always thought. There was something so much deeper that he was beginning to notice. And he didn’t quite mind it.
