Which makes it all the more dangerous, the way Soobin looks at him, like he’s never wanted anything more.
Beomgyu doesn’t notice. He’s soft, affectionate, loyal. He cuddles too close, says too much, and touches without thinking. Keeps feeding Soobin hope without ever meaning to. And Yeonjun watches it all with amusement.
No one said it was fair.
But god, it’s addictive.
Yeonjun could stop it. Could remind Soobin exactly who Beomgyu belongs to.

Summary
Yeonjun left the village at sixteen.
Already newly presented as an Alpha and chosen to begin training beyond the borders. He remembers a small boy who clung to his side, all scraped knees and wide eyes, shouting about how he’d marry him someday. Beomgyu had always been a whirlwind: loud, bold, fearless. Everyone assumed he’d present as an Alpha.
But ten years is a long time.
And when Yeonjun returns, ready to take a mate, the last thing he expects is for that little boy to have grown into a sharp-tongued, distant Omega with a mouth full of thorns and eyes that no longer shine for him.
He’s colder and wiser now. But one thing hasn’t changed.
