“We’re on your side, Agent Three.”
“Yeah! We’ve known each other for years now! It’d be good to have a conversation to make sure we’re ALL okay! So…are you okay?”
The both of them looked back at Agent Three, who had finished his burger. His hands were by his side, and he was looking down at his lap thoughtfully. A few seconds of silence went by.
“Huh.”
The thoughtfulness on his face disappeared. He blinked, and reached forward to grab another fry.
“Yeah. I feel fine. If we have to talk personally about that whole goop business…I’d say I don’t like getting my right eye burnt out. But I miss being sanitized. It was cool.”
He bit down on the tip of the fry, oblivious to the shocked expressions Callie and Marie were giving him. He looked back up at them, the last remnant of the fry still poking out of his mouth.
“...What?”
One month after the end of the events in the Deepsea Metro, The Squid Sisters want to make sure he's doing okay.
But both of them don't like his answer. And clearly, to both of them, this is a cry for help! Clearly, something more must be going on!

“So, you're supposed to be different? How come?”
Agent Three didn’t think about the question for a second before he let out a single laugh. “I thought we were trying to figure out your past, Eight.”
“Not much to talk about, I can’t remember most of it.” Eight grimaced. “Where I’m from, the people I know- I can’t recall much of anything. I can’t even remember my own name.”
This time, Agent Three froze. His left eye glanced down at the ground, and his cheeks flushed red. Eight tilted her head to the side, confused at this sudden display.
“Oh.” He said, with the same tone one would say if they had left a stove on at home.
“Oh?”
Agent Three looked at her, his eyebrows furrowed. “I know your name. And you know mine. We told each other about it 2 years ago in the Octo Valley, after my fight with the Octobot King.”
Agent Eight’s first time in Inkopolis turns intense when she realizes that Agent Three has more keys to her past than she thought. She grapples with whether or not she wants to remember the past she left behind, and if her and Agent Three should have connected at all.

Summary
Marina wanted nothing more than to apologize - for the things she didn’t do for Agent Eight in the Metro. But she couldn’t do that when Agent Eight was sleeping so soundly, recovering from a battle she never asked for.
Maybe it was selfish, but Marina hoped that she can be forgiven.
Because maybe Agent Eight hated her- she rejected Pearl and Marina’s offer, after all. There was only one person she wanted to stay with, and it was the inkling man who heralded that heavenly melody.
And he was right there, in the hospital ward, smelling of smoke.
