Rainbow cracks start to form in a reality currently on the cusp of its collapse, its events bringing it down and cracking at its seams. A game played, but never won, its ultimate puppeteer destroying it simply because it could. Through those cracks an individual falls, glitching out because his already dead status was suddenly turned to alive.
He falls into another universe that recently branched off its main path, as if fate wanted him to be caught by it. Following the destruction of the NILS statue, Captain Cuttlefish discovered sunlight wasn't the only thing powering the devastating weapon. At the core of NILS was a strange white crystal shard, boasting energy levels comparable to dozens of Great Zapfish. With such terrifying power in his tentacles, Craig did what any reasonable cephalopod would do: Commission Sheldon to harness the shard's energy. Unfortunately, Sheldon's meddling ended up opening Pandora's box. Now, Inkadian residents find themselves at the mercy of a great evil in the form of hypnotic wooden spirits called the Tiki Tak Tribe. The threat is evidently out of the New Squidbeak Splatoon's league, but fortunately, they aren't the only ones gunning for the tribe. Even so, one has to wonder if they'll be able to stop these spirits from taking over Inkadia... or will the entire world fall to their instrumental hypnosis?

Summary
Agent Nine's successfully gotten out of the Deepsea Metro. That's definitely more than can be said for any other sanitized octoling, let alone a splatoon fan who woke up one day to find themself in the midst of Octo Expansion as a sanitized octoling. The subway train has somewhat jumped tracks.
But there's still some lingering questions, and the hard issue of being a fish out of water trying to acclimate to society & the fact that they aren't entirely sure if they're stuck in a game or if they are in fact experiencing regular reality. Will they overcome their struggles to adjust to living in Inkopolis, or will they go back, to find answers?
