Summary
Almost bleeding from his fingertips, Yue Qingyuan's qi branches through the blade and sinks into the steel with no lasting impression. Physically, the only mark of what he’d done is caught amongst the fire: when he shifts aside for the hearth to burn bright, all traces of where his qi had spread now set an icy sheen in the perfect metal. Reflecting nothing of the flames which surround it. Placed in complete stasis.
“Sever these fissures.”
Doused in glacial waters, Wei Qingwei dumbly chokes out, “What?”
“Sever it,” the sect leader calmly repeats. No glance is spared. “It is ready.”
“It is my shifu’s last work,” he manages through his shock. Yue Qingyuan intently traces the veins of the blade and gives a sympathetic nod.
“Therefore, your only resource.” His shixiong tilts his head only just. “Are you not curious?”

Summary
Mu Qingfang extends a hand to beckon his. “All Cang Qiong cultivators are obliged to report to Qian Cao upon return; Zhangmen-shixiong is naturally welcome, as such.”
Yue Qingyuan allows his glove to settle in their palm and accepts the feel of their fingers sliding beneath the leather to rest on his wrist. Immediately, they begin to lead a brisk stream of qi into him. A habitual smile forms on his lips, “This shixiong hadn’t intended to disturb Mu-shiban’s own work over such a trivial matter. One of the minor sects merely attempted to make use of a weak aphrodisiac.”
“’Merely,’” the healer repeats, voice delicately omitting anything but long-held weariness. “The spiritual energy has festered far more than any aphrodisiac. This has completely hindered your body’s natural qi cycle.”
“...Indeed,” he answers faintly, glancing aside. “All attempts to relieve it have been, ah, mildly painful.”

Summary
The next time [Shen Yuan] wakes, it is not under his control. Oh, yes, his arms push him up from where he was sprawled out on the bed, but the feeling is numb and distant, like he’s grasping at the blankets through layers of cotton balls trying to suffocate him. His chest deliberately rises and falls, but he hardly tastes the air. Further below, his feet land on the floor and move without any effort on his part. It almost hurts, tugging against the chains of his new body while he kneels down and reaches beneath the bed for—Xuan Su?
At once, a shrill ringing pierces the air and he can’t even cover his ears.

Summary
This man is a bastard as all men are.
His role was beginning to wear on Shen Qingqiu. In these past weeks, he has found himself increasingly bitter in his one retreat, his one place of solace, with no manner in which to settle proper. Were it not a waste of the body he’d been granted, he would have clawed this face off for each compliment awarded to the man they presumed him to be.
As it stands—is he, or is he not, still playing servant to a young master?
