Summary
As the years have passed and they’ve gotten older, Killua and his friends have started finding more and more excuses to see each other that have nothing to do with fighting an enemy or going on a journey. They’ve scheduled trips simply to see each other—to revel in the fact that they’re alive and that they even have each other. In particular, bringing in the new year together has become a tradition over the years.
The town they decide to meet up in this year for New Year's has a peculiar tradition—a good luck New Year's kiss. The tradition makes it hard for Killua to continue hiding his growing feelings for Gon. However, it also makes Gon think about some things he's never thought about before—love, and what it means to love someone who doesn't love you back.

“For fuck’s sake, why do people think we’re a couple?” Katsuki’s arm does not move from its resting place around the curl of the other’s shoulders, causing emerald locks to shift closer and tickle the side of his neck. “That’s a weird thought, isn’t it?”
“It is,” Deku agrees, voice muffled from its snug position under Katsuki’s chin. Fingers tighten around the cotton on Katsuki’s back.
“We’re not like that at all.”
(In which Class 2-A becomes the long-suffering, unwilling witness to Bakugou Katsuki and Midoriya Izuku’s not-relationship.
Katsuki doesn’t get it.)

When Izuku found his room again, he could hear music behind the door- loud, with lots of screaming and guitars. His heart sunk a little, but he tried not to pass judgement too quickly. The guy inside was alone right now, after all. He’d probably use headphones once he met his new roommate, right? Izuku took a deep breath and twisted the doorknob, pushing it open as casually as he could to hide his nerves. He thought about the greeting he'd rehearsed in the mirror earlier today.
“Hey! I didn’t see you here earlier! It's nice to meet you, I’m--” Izuku froze in the doorway, the other man in the room mirroring him. He was holding up a sweater, clearly in the middle of putting it on a hanger when Izuku had barged in. Izuku had been preparing for a lot of possibilities behind the door, but this was not on his list.
Blond, spiky hair, and eyes like fire with a temperament to match. Katsuki Bakugou, undoubtedly.

Izuku's life is going amazingly well, with his Twitch channel where he streams himself playing video games and discussing the nerdiest things imaginable hitting 3 million followers, his best friend as his roommate, and his other close friends as tight-knit as they've been since high school. The only possible road bump is his viewer's continuous demands to know who "Kacchan" is - thanks to Katsuki often coming into his room during streams and Izuku's repeated attempts to pull him into video game competitions - and, more importantly, if they're dating. Which is crazy.

Dialing a wrong number was no unusual occurrence. Everyone did it once in a while, and Katsuki was well aware of that fact.
However, possessing this knowledge made it no less aggravating for him to discover — a full two minutes into his rant about his day — that he’d been venting his frustrations to a complete stranger. As if that wasn't enough, said stranger was also inexplicably determined to hear his story to its end.
