Mello handles the killing, Matt handles the cameras. They are two of Europe's most prolific assassins, committing stylish murders across the globe until their gruesome execution of a priest at the heart of an MI6 investigation catches the attention of Near; the prodigal detective leading the case.
Extremely loosely based on the Killing Eve universe. I just like the idea of a sexy blonde Russian assassin killing people in fun and exciting ways.

Near knew L was dead.
Of course he did. He’d died almost ten years ago. Near had been existing in a post-L world for almost a decade. It had been so long that he was rarely thought of as L’s successor anymore; he was just N. His own little brand of kooky, genius detective.
But then he got a letter from L, telling him he was waiting for him in a town he’d never been to before.
And although he knew it couldn’t be true… although logically he was aware that it was more likely to be a twisted joke with a forged signature than L’s hand itself…
He went.
Shinigami were real. Why couldn’t this be?

Mello, a dedicated and talented figure skater, is not good with change. When the rink he's skated at nearly his whole life is remodeled as a competition venue to save it from going under, he can't possibly think how things could get any worse.

Matt is a disaster, and he knows it. Recently fired from his job and struggling to find a purpose, he meets Mello by chance and is immediately intrigued. However, Mello is as cold as the ice he skates on, which only serves to interest Matt further, despite the advice from his childhood friend and roommate, Near.
