Lupe can’t help but hope it’s the latter.
“Park’s closed”
“What??”
“Park’s closed, inclement weather”
Lupe stares, eyes wide, mouth slightly open.
“Once the rain starts the roads go to shit, can’t get in can’t get out - park’s closed”
As if the rangers' words reminded the clouds of their purpose, the skies opened.
