“You’re so pretty, you know that? Like, so pretty.” Annabeth spoke slowly, punctuating her last sentence with a hearty laugh.
Piper widened her eyes, laughing back. “No, YOU’RE so pretty!”
“But YOU’RE prettier,” Annabeth practically shouted at Piper, making her jump at the sudden loud noise. Both of the girls started laughing uncontrollably, nearly rolling on the dirty wooden floor of the back porch, until the blonde gripped her friend’s face again, bringing their faces close enough for Piper to feel Annabeth’s breath.
“We should kiss,” the blonde blurted out, still laughing.
I want to kiss Reyna, is what Piper thought. “Yeah, we should,” is what she said instead.
Annabeth gave her another dopey smile that Piper drunkenly returned with a chuckle before pulling her face for their lips to meet.

One, a baby princess. The King and Queen were overjoyed! Princess Adora would have only the finest.
The second baby was named Adam. His parents loved him every bit as much as the King and Queen loved the princess. But they were worried. They were so poor. How would they be able to care for their little son?
Many years passed. The princess learned her royal duties while Adam worked long and hard as a dressmaker for the spiteful Madame Carp. With lives so different, it wasn’t surprising that the princess and the pauper never met.
