Summary
Something flashes in those strange eyes and Jayce shifts back, alarmed, when the mage begins to peel his robe off and get into the bed.
“What the hell are you doing?” he asks, but his traitorous body betrays him, heart rate already slowing at the prospect of Viktor—whatever version of Viktor this is—being in bed with him.
“You need to sleep,” he says simply. “And this will help.”
Well. Alright then.
It’s not like he’s wrong.
After Viktor accidentally sends Jayce to the mage's timeline, Jayce has trouble sleeping. The mage, needing him to survive long enough to get him back to his timeline, begins to share his bed in order to help him sleep, and things take a decidedly heated turn.

Summary
Neither could remember exactly how it started. It began subtly, with fleeting glances and gentle, reassuring smiles. Something had shifted along the way, though, sometime after that first day. Both of them felt it on a certain level, an inexplicable pull, or a sixth sense for the other. Neither would acknowledge it out loud, as if putting the strange feeling into words would make whatever was going on between them more real.
The two inventors had tried to ignore it at first, but it was impossible, like standing on the shore while the rising tide lapped at their feet higher and higher with each ebb of the sea. Something was building between them, growing incrementally each day. Both scientists possessed undoubtedly brilliant minds, though it seemed their intelligence was sparsely allocated to the more emotional areas of themselves.[Basically, Viktor and Jayce know deep down that they have feelings for the other, but they're too busy and too stupid to acknowledge them]

"Are you sure that this will work?" Vi carefully places a slip of paper bearing the name 'Jayce' into a small, undecorated envelope.
"Nope!" Jinx singsongs, happily shoving a slip reading 'Viktor' into a matching envelope.
A short, judgemental silence. The weight of Vi's judgemental stare is heavy on Jinx's shoulders, but she shakes it off. Too late, sis! The wheels are already a-turnin'!
"What? Do you have a better idea?"
Another silence. Then, wordlessly, Vi hands Jinx her envelope.
