Summary
Kids started getting sick nearly every day, all of them going to the nurse's office before being sent home. The few times Megumi walked by, he could see the curse crawling all over them, its body vibrating as it scuttled across their bodies. At first, they were gone for only a few days before returning to school. Days quickly turned into a week, Megumi's classmates whispering among themselves while their teacher tried to keep them all focused.
With each new kid that got sick, the curse grew bigger, uglier. It sprouted a pair of wings like a beetle, buzzing erratically around the room. The one time Megumi found himself back in that office, the curse remained tucked in its corner, three sets of eyes watching him with unnerving intensity. In just a few days, it had grown from the size of an apple to a watermelon, new pairs of legs having formed to accommodate its weight. The nurse smiled at Megumi like nothing was wrong, wishing him a good day as he practically ran out of there.

Summary
With extreme care, Gojo moved Megumi's hand aside and rolled up his sleeve, revealing the damage hidden underneath. Megumi's forearm was noticeably swollen, his skin painted black and blue all the way past his elbow. The worst appeared to be his wrist, which had blown up like a balloon. Gojo may not be a doctor, but it didn't take one to know how serious an injury that was—especially Megumi's wrist.
"Megumi, can you feel this?" Gojo asked as he tapped the tips of Megumi's fingers.
Megumi blinked slowly, confused, before he finally noticed what Gojo was doing. When he did, Megumi shook his head, and Gojo felt something in him snap. Gojo stood and faced Megumi's principal, who had the nerve to look annoyed, as if Gojo was wasting his valuable time.

Gojo gets a call from Megumi's school about his kid having been involved in a fight, and what he finds when he shows up causes him to lose his temper.

Summary
If he concentrated, Megumi could sense thin tendrils of cursed energy coming from upstairs. With his shikigami reappearing by his side, Megumi ventured up the stairs, the hair on his arms standing on end by the time he reached the second floor. The darkness surrounding him felt heavy, like a thick blanket. Whatever curse was hiding up there was much stronger than the ones in the living room.
Megumi needed to be careful. One wrong move and—
Without warning, something hard slammed into Megumi's side. sending him tumbling back down the stairs. Megumi quickly regained his footing, using his momentum to create some distance as the curse came barreling down the stairs after him. It reminded Megumi of a mangy coyote with snapping jaws and loose skin folds that hung like thick curtains. Moving fast, Megumi summoned a few of his rabbit shikigami, allowing them to take the brunt of the curse's attack.

Gojo's words gradually sank in, leaving Megumi reeling. Those other trick-or-treaters—Your sister's in her room getting ready—How about a little treat before we head out? Gojo planned on taking Megumi and Tsumiki trick-or-treating…on Halloween…as though they were a couple of normal kids…In an instant, Gojo's grin disappeared as Megumi's vision blurred.
