Summary
Tim strikes. Baby has literally no clue about what is happening (or so he would like to believe) as Tim plucks the little racoon up. Tiny, clawed feet tread air ineffectively as he screeches at Tim’s horrible betrayal, dismayed at having been had. A yet uneaten piece of pastry falls out of clawed forelegs, and Tim, for a moment, feels awful at having deprived the starving little urchin of its food.
Until he remembers he can feed the baby more in his garage.

It’s been a long night. Horrendously, stupidly, long.
Not for any good reasons. If it were actually the job, actually saving people, putting away criminals all night, it would be reasonable, the buzzing beneath his skin. Understandable, even. He could brush it off as just adrenaline. Call it good.
Instead it’s just that he and Damian ran together the entire patrol. It’s just that Tim’s wanted to grab onto him and push him against the nearest semi-reasonable, semi-flat surface and kiss that perpetually smug look off his face, for all eight hours of the patrol.
