The past few months it had been hard to look at certain parts of Mark and forget how it used to be— hanging onto Mark’s arms as a way to feel his biceps up; catching his hands into his to play with them or place them on certain parts of his body; putting his arms around his waist to secretly feel him up and place his nose in the crook of his neck.
Ever since he got back, Donghyuck tried not to touch him as much in fear of exposing himself too much, of igniting everything that he had thought to be over.
(Or: Donghyuck has his career, his friends, and his most important family members close by, and he's happy— happy enough.
Then Mark returns and suddenly he's confronted with 5 years of distance, hurt, and memories he rather keeps behind tight locks, shut doors and high walls.)
