“I’m still kissing you, aren’t I?”
“Technically, I guess,” Vi grouses, still rolling her hips down into Caitlyn’s thigh.
“Technically?” Caitlyn repeats, voice higher than she’d meant it to be and Vi, the devil, laughs. Caitlyn is genuinely affronted, but she thinks she has a right to be, given the circumstances. She pulls back to glare at Vi, the effect ruined by the reflexive smile that breaks across her face at the sight of Vi flushed and grinning at her.
“I mean, I don’t know how you Topsiders learn to do it,” Vi says. “But where I’m from when you’re kissing, y’know, for real, like you mean it, there tends to be a lot less room for talk.”
Well, fine. If she wants it to be like that.

“Girl,” echoes Steb quietly.
Loris shakes his head.
“I understand the concern but I promise Caitlyn’s different.” There’s a glint in her gold eyes. “Who knows, you might like him.”
