Summary
“If this is a crazy Helioic cult, wouldn’t it have been better to find some nice lady spy to come with you? Or literally any one of our female friends?”
“Adaine’s too recognizable, Fig’s taken, and Kristen has a mullet.” Riz ticks them off on his fingers. “Besides, having a male partner makes me an outsider. It gives them something to sink their teeth into.”
“I see,” Fabian says with a grin, “I’m bait.”
“You’re not bait.”
“I’m set dressing,” Fabian amends, taking another slice of pizza. “I’m honored.”
[OR Riz is tasked with taking down a cult from the inside, and Fabian is along for the ride.]

To the naked eye they look no different from ordinary trinkets, lucky charms perhaps, simple objects the dead often keep on them in the grave.
Maybe they are. Maybe it’s Zagreus that makes them hold power.
(concept: god's keepsakes and blessings change zagreus' appearance and behavior during an escape. thanatos takes notice.)

Summary
Eliwood has always been sickly.
Over time, he grew out of it, to a certain extent—he needed to train twice as hard and twice as long, and rest for three times that, but still, he refused to fall behind. Not when he had people like Hector to compete with.
He was, and is, determined not to be a burden, and so he made himself grow out of it. Incompetence is something he hates, and he’s always been determined not to be the best, but not to be the one that falls behind. Not to be the one who feels inferior because they could not do what others could. And yet, sitting at the floor beside his bed, watching his wife rock their infant son in her arms, he has never felt so beautifully incompetent in his entire life.

birds of a feather flock together, or, more specifically: gay kids somehow know and find other LGBT kids to be friends with, even before any of them know they're LGBT.
this is my take on the 6 bad kids and their 6 journeys with their sexualities - because no two coming out journeys are the same.

Adaine’s name is also derived from Old Elvish. Second-born.
In which Aelwyn Abernant puts abjurative shields up on everything, including herself, and she doesn't know what exists beneath all that when they're gone.

Summary
Basrar swirls his hands in front of him, and with a burst of magic an ice cream sundae appears on the table.
“Fantastic,” Ayda says. “The creation of something from nothing. A truly splendid use of conjuration. I would deeply enjoy discussing the differences between the conjuration magic of djinn and the conjuration magic of wizards, but I won’t have this conversation now, because it wouldn't be as enjoyable as eating ice cream with Fig. On this date. We’re on a date. It's our first date, I’m very excited about it.”
“She’s my succubus,” Fig says. “Can we get spoons?”

“Fuck you,” Leia says. “Who said anything about getting married? Did Luke say anything about getting married?”
“Luke is not involved,” Luke says, not looking up.
“Hey, Luke is not involved,” Han says, pointing at her. She’s going to bite his finger off, then they’ll see how much pointing he can do with it. “This is about you and me, princess.”
“There’s not going to be a you and me,” Leia says. “I’m going to have this baby with C-3PO.”
C-3PO says, “Madam,” tremulous.
