    Midoriya Izuku wanted to be a hero. Even if he was quirkless, even if he was beaten down and laughed at, he still dreamed of becoming a hero.

    But what if a hero, the very thing he sought to become, abandoned him? What if he left to die, forgotten and alone? What if a person who society called a ‘villain’ had saved him? Would he still want to become what the world called a ‘hero’?

    Despite the world constantly pushing him towards villainy, the answer was yes. Even with an awful awakening of the world around ‘heroes’ and ‘villains’, he was still going to become a hero, quirkless or not— even if it meant learning from a villain and bringing down entire social prejudices to reach it.
