I was still just a kid when she told me that, but- It's damn hard to forget, this thing. I… well, she told me not to ever, ever touch it unless I knew what I wanted to do. She said… At least, as far as I can remember- She said that… just like we don't like when Death calls to us, Death doesn't like to be called for no reason, either. But… they do accept callers, sometimes. Ones who are willing to make a deal."

    Pascal's head is spinning.

    "Ophelia." Urgency has a grip on his tone; this phone already has its grip on him. "What are you saying?"

    There's a moment of silence. Barely a beat; it drags out for forever. Finally, Ophelia speaks up quietly.

    "…phones like this are used to plead the Grim Reaper to bring someone back to life."

    Or: Circe and Loki go one step too far. Nervous is dead. It's all over.

    As all hope seems to be lost, Ophelia Nigmos reaches out to Pascal in his grief, with a… risky proposition.
