Summary
"Buck was 22 when he learned that real evil did exist.
Today, however, Buck was 33. He was secure in his job, his family, his sense of self. And none of that included hunting, or monsters, or Sam and Dean Winchester.
Which is why his first instinct when he sees familiar bowed legs and floppy hair in cheap suits is to panic."
--
or: Buck is shocked to find old friends in town, Eddie gets WAY more than he bargained for, and the Winchesters really are trying to get out of LA.

Summary
Now that he has one, Buck has realized that he’s never had a best friend before. Not until Eddie. Naturally, he gets a little weird about the whole thing. But who can blame him really? He’s never done this before.
Buck (Work): come over
Eddie Diaz: Can’t, I’m busy.
Buck (Work): do you hate me
Eddie Diaz: No
Buck (Work): why do you hate me
Buck (Work): why do youh ate me
Eddie Diaz: I don’t hate you
Buck (Work): whatever
Eddie Diaz: I’ll come over after.
Buck (Work): yay :)
Or, for years, Buck has jokingly texted Eddie like a crazy possessive girlfriend and he's never actually meant it, so why does it feel so real when Eddie starts to spend time with Tommy?
