Summary
Sometimes in life, you realize how dumb most things are. For Viktor, today was a prime example. Small demeaning comments made by the council, hurtful in just the way to make his heart sting with resent. To be forced into putting far too much mental effort and care into soothing the blood that tries to curdle and boil. Energy that could’ve much better be used for passion, put towards glorious projects to help others. But instead, he is stuck having to waste his energy to soothe prissy adults with the maturity of children with his intelligence.
Ugh indeed. What a damn waste.
Not to mention the pain it causes his body from being so tense, constantly.
He'd like a bath now.

“You’re alive.” Ren says stupidly, staring at him with a smile on his face, like he’s the happiest man in the world at this simple fact.
“..Yup.” Akechi says begrudgingly, popping the ‘p’ with sass.
Ren walks up to him then, and Akechi looks pathetic, still looking down at the cold sidewalk.
Ren's smile quickly turns to a grimace as he starts to take him in.
And then he slaps him.

It became a routine. After that first housewarming party at Robert's, going over after a long shift Friday to celebrate the weeks hard work and throw back a few beers became apart of the Z teams schedule like it was on their payroll. But it wasn't. Something about this mangled band of misfit toys seems to grow on each other shift by shift making their Friday nights less of a chore and more of something to actually look forward to.
