Mand'alor Din is having trouble with his new role, despite having had it for about a year. He understood his position a lot more during wartime; now in peace, he's struggling to keep himself from going insane with monotony.
When Luke Skywalker turns in a favor and sets up his new Jedi school on Mandalore, life for Din becomes a lot more interesting and complicated. Especially when not all of his subjects agree that Luke should be there in the first place.

He wants to kill these people. Sudden hatred for the Empire breaks into Din’s head. He’s never felt so powerless.
It's the Emperor who speaks next.
“Luke, I think this is your perfect opportunity to prove yourself to your father and me,” He says with a fabricated smile. “As any Jedi could tell, this child is strong with the Force… a bit old maybe, but he’s perfectly suited to learn the ways of the Force,” He caresses the baby’s ear with his long fingers before continuing. “You will train him. He will be a new asset for our Empire.”
Skywalker doesn't even flinch, “Yes, master.”
-Luke Skywalker joined the Dark Side of the Force during the Battle of Endor, where the rebels lost. He's now serving the Empire alongside his father and Emperor Palpatine. Trying to forget all about his past and staying close to Darth Vader, his plans go south when a strange prisoner is brought into the new Death Star: the Mandalorian Din Djarin with an even stranger companion, his Force-sensitive child.
Or where Din finds unexpected help trying to escape the second Death Star, discovering the true reason why Luke Skywalker turned to the Dark Side.

“What about me? What about me, Din?” Luke chokes the words out, his eyes instantly filling up with tears. “No, I get it, okay? I get it. You understand my parents and you understand the choices they’re making but what about me?!”
“Luke…” Din whispers and reaches out, but Luke takes another step back as the feeling of betrayal tears his heart into million little pieces. "I'm willing to let you go if that is what's needed for your planet."
"I don't want you to let me go! I want you to choose me, I want you to fight for me– I’m your husband, Din! Are you going to just stand by to watch my father walk me down the aisle and hand me off to somebody else like none of this hurts?”
(or, a universe, where Luke Skywalker receives news that he needs to get married to someone for the sake of his planet, but the problem is that he's already married to the King of Mandalore in secret, the man he loves more than anything in the galaxy.)

Prompt from visionsofloveandmagic; I really loved Colours of the Force it’s quite beautiful. I was wondering you would be interested in this idea. Darth Vader raised his son Luke to honor his mother Padme telling him love is the most precious thing. Vader tells him every day that he doesn’t regret turning to the Dark side to try to save her when the Jedi couldn’t. He says one must sacrifice everything for love. Luke ventures out one day and heads to Mandalore. He becomes intrigued with a Mandalorian named Din who refuses to take off his helmet. After a rough start the two come together to raise Grogu. Luke begins to fall in love and turns against the Empire. When they are captured the two sacrifice themselves for Grogu to escape. As Luke awaits his execution with Din Vader arrives. He’s horrified and demands his son give up on Din. Luke refuses reminding his father about his words on love.
