    Between aiding his boyfriend, Detective Sirius Black, in exposing Knockturn City’s corrupt political system and taking down the crime syndicate calling themselves The Veil, his life’s pretty perfect.

    Except that he has to follow Sirius’s one rule. A rule meant to keep him safe, but challenges every instinct for the truth that he has:
    Stay away from Regulus Black and the Black Family’s dealings.

    But after following Regulus into a secret room at ACCIO Labs and hiding in Project Silk’s nest of mutant spiders, Remus has to contend with the fact that:

    1) He’s been bit... and Google will probably not know if Project Silk’s spiders are venomous
    and
    2) Even worse, Sirius is going to leave him if he ever finds out.

    But first things first, he has to stop weeping and find a way to un-stick himself from the ceiling before Sirius gets home.

    “Maybe that’s my excuse then,” Sirius said. “I cause a bit of chaos now, and maybe one day, it’ll turn into rock and roll.”

    After losing his mother at age eleven, Remus has spent the better part of the last four years bouncing from school to school or else running around London and pretending as though he wasn't the kind of well-bred boy his father brought him up to be. Now, with his chances all run out, Remus is sent to Hawkings Independent School as a last-ditch effort to clean up his act. There he meets the very people who will set up the rest of his life, and is forced to confront the pieces of himself he'd long thought had been lost.
