Tobio looks over at his husband and his heart absolutely swells at the sight.
They’re both splayed out on their tummies. Shouyou has his arms propped up to support his chin so that he can look up at the television that’s playing his favorite movie. His hair is a fiery mess and he’s got his glasses on.
Tobio and Shouyou are inside a blanket fort they built. Well.. it was mostly Shouyou that built it, really. Tobio tried but this just might be the one thing he wasn’t good at. Wow, Tobio, that looks terrible. Is this your one weakness? Shouyou had teased him.
They’re watching Shouyou’s favorite movie inside of the fort. Tobio’s watches as the redhead mouths the words of the movie, a fond smile slowly spreading across Tobio’s face. He’d literally do anything to keep his husband happy and well.

At that moment Tobio knew he was screwed. If he were to be completely honest, there had been numerous occasions lately in which he felt his blood grow cold, just like the sweat on his forehead – and it wasn't because of a demanding session of volleyball training.
Or, that one time "someone" locked Hinata and Kageyama in the room to force Tobio to confess his feelings... but he panicked and asked for some space. And Hinata agreed.

Tobio almost said no, before he was struck with the very real crisis that the gala was tomorrow, and he was stuck going to his teammates for help. If it wasn’t Hinata, who would he choose, Bokuto? He shuddered.
“You free tomorrow night?”
“Yeah.”
“Do you own a suit?”
“Yeah.”
“Can you be here at seven?”
“Sure.”
“Then you’re hired,” Tobio said, and he wanted to feel relieved, but all he felt was a strange buzzing underneath his skin. Something between horror and anticipation.

Tobio lowered down the towel, looked up and—

There’s an explanation for this. There’s a reasonable explanation for this for sure.
How else would he end up staring at his younger self in the mirror?!
Tobio touched his face, prodding at his cheeks. God, look at all that baby fat left in him.
No, focus. This was a dream. This was a dream, and he was back in his bed in Italy, sleeping like a child. This crazy dream was due to over fatigue from practicing yesterday. Yesterday was a little bit eventful and he was so tired he was getting weird dreams. Yeah, that was it. He was going back to sleep and when he woke up, he was going to be back in no time.
Nodding to himself. Tobio slipped right back under his duvet and closed his eyes. All a dream. Nothing to worry about.
