Summary
There's no sweeter lie than a dream. Your brain takes in memories and snippets of wants and fears and turns into a big ol' mush of nonsensical information you're free to interpret as you wish. Logically, it follows a liar would take interest in making use of this.
Or, Shadow Milk Cookie decides weakening Pure Vanilla Cookie before their next encounter would be an excellent strategic maneuver. What better way than by turning all of his dreams to nightmares by his own hand?

Summary
Black Sapphire has only one goal in visiting the Faerie Kingdom: To find one specific book, under Shadow Milk's instruction, so that his and Candy Apple's library punishment may finally come to its end and he may return to crafting the rumors he so loves. He's determined to get it done as swiftly as possible, but who can blame him when a silly faerie happens to distract him? Surely, he can be allowed a little fun, and using his disguise to "date" a Silver Tree Knight is quite the hilarious little idea! Especially when they're the one to propose it.

In Silverbell's defense, he panicked.

Summary
A few scenes of Pure Vanilla's perspective from Community Gardens, during the visit to Dark Cacao Kingdom. Pure Vanilla tries to convince Dark Cacao to get along with "Malted Milk", muses over an odd new function of his soul jam, and accidentally eavesdrops when he likely shouldn't have.
(You really should read chapters 28 through 33 of Community Gardens before this, I don't think it can function as a standalone.)

Summary
Shadow Milk makes two terrible mistakes. Firstly, he keeps a nearly-dead child alive just to see the results of that choice. Secondly, he then receives another child and keeps it after a gamble. He's not one driven to caring, particularly, but there's not really anything else to call it; well, accidentally creating a "family" might work, if you stretch the meaning of the word. He'll never say that much, certainly. Black Sapphire learns from watching, Candy Apple is never taught. Despite it all, they care. How much that matters, well... it certainly won't, for a great many centuries. Three liars can't exactly communicate healthily, after all.

Summary
Nightmares aren't much else than your mind playing on your fears, whether they're rational or not. You may know very well that such things will not happen, either because they can't or because the people involved simply wont let them, but your mind doesn't exactly care for logic. Pure Vanilla is particularly familiar with this knowledge, and yet, that doesn't stop the nightmares, now does it?
~
Or, Pure Vanilla's nightmare from chapter 24 of Community Gardens. (I'd say it's likely not necessary to have read that, this can stand on its own I feel.)
