Summary
takara slowly paced in his room, checking his phone anxiously. he had messaged amagi and received no response, not even a read receipt. his chest became tight, and his mind began to wander. amagi wasn’t one to miss texts, and he’d seemed more quiet and reserved lately. could something have happened? why would he not read his texts, why has an hour passed since the text sent, there’s still no response… suddenly his gut sank.
“i need to go check up on him.” he whispered under his breath as he quickly made his way out of his room and to the front door.
he frantically began to run to the door, desperately opening it as he hurriedly pulled on his shoes. when the door was thrown open, what stood in front of him was amagi, with a hand extended reaching towards the doorway, looking down, hair messy and posture low. he pulled his hand back to his side.
“amagi…”
“takara… i want to go home.” he spoke holding back the rest of his tears. he couldn’t bring himself to lift his head and look takara in the eyes.or: amagi's mom shows up and all amagi can think of is running to takara, the love of his life, to seek comfort.

Summary
“Aoki.”
A firm hand grasped his shoulder, and Aoki was suddenly able to breathe.
A sudden rush of scent that completely drowned out everything else, like decadent, dark chocolate and bonfire smoke.
Alpha.
Aoki might have been able to breathe, but he was definitely not done panicking, because what the hell was that voice in his head just now?
(or, Aoki presents as an omega in math class. He really hates math.)

Summary
Relief was slowly starting to bloom somewhere distant in Hanbin’s chest. He found the courage to ask, “Why don’t we ever say anything?”
He was redacting key parts of what he actually wanted to ask. Like “Do you also feel the tension?” or “Do you like me?”. It was hidden, but the code of his emotions were easily deciphered by Hao. That’s why he didn’t need to use many words.
“What if I say something wrong?”
Hao’s response made it clear. It wasn’t just Hanbin that got stuck in this riddle. Hao was also afraid as much as he was. They were on the same boat, yet blindly assuming they weren’t heading to the same place.
Hao was also feeling the what ifs, the uncertainty, the uneasiness. And at that moment, he too wasn’t afraid of showing that to Hanbin.
“What if I kiss you?”
The question wasn’t playful, it was honest. It was a continuation of his expression. He took the risk, and now he was staring at Hanbin’s eyes, expecting the same honesty from him.
“I think that’s going to happen either way."
