Post-TLJ, Rey can’t resist the opportunity to provoke a wounded, sexually repressed Ben Solo into calling her every name in the book, because apparently nothing threatens him as much as a good time.

“This? This?! You want this? You’re worse than a disappointment, you’re…” He’s huffing air through his nostrils, enraged and nearly speechless with it. “You’re…”“Just say it,” she says, her tone dripping exasperation, while inside she’s dying of anticipation. “If we’re not going to do violence to each other, we may as well have it out. What am I, hm?”
His chest is heaving against her back, and she feels him warring with himself.
“Go on, Ben, quit being such a coward! What, are you afraid your mother’s going to show up and wash your mouth out?” He stiffens at this, and is even angrier, knowing she’s been digging around in his mind. “Just say it!”
“You’re a filthy whore!” he shouts.

The play Rey is trying to direct is dark -- violent and sexually explicit. Ben is a non-union actor with no resume to speak of, but she's taken a chance and cast him as the male lead. That's not going to work if he keeps mumbling all his nastier lines to his shoes.
Rey's going to have to do some intensive work to get the performance she wants from him.
