Ohaew observed, just as he had told Teh minutes ago. Teh's eyes stared at a place he couldn't quite pinpoint, but his gaze seemed to be blurry. A thought, perhaps. A memory, most probably. Ohaew kept inspecting, and his eyes fell on Teh's lips. They slowly disappeared into his mouth and Ohaew's brain quickly clicked.
"Really? You kissed?" he asked excitedly. He gained nothing but a look and an eyebrow raise from Teh, who had been lost in his own thoughts since he had asked about Tarn. "Tell me! C'mon! How?"
It had been a few weeks since Teh and him had gotten back to talking again and being friends, and Ohaew was eager. Eager to know more about the new and more mature Teh, eager to revisit the places they had practically lived in during their childhood, eager to be being best friends again. So, of course, he was eager to know how his best friend had had -for all Ohaew knew- his first kiss.
Teh took a few seconds, looking at Ohaew up to all the way down, making him doubt if he had asked too much.
"How do you think I did it?" Teh answered, instead.

“You know, you’re such a hypocrite,” Eddie steps forward, jabbing an accusatory finger into Buck’s chest. “You would have done exactly the same thing if I hadn’t done it first.”

Shane stared at him. “You travel with those?” he asked, trying to go for scathing. It never quite got there. He didn’t have Ilya’s skill.
Ilya smiled wide and shark-like. “No,” he said. “I got them from Emily. Mrs. Lansow.”
Shane felt even more baffled.
“The owner of the hotel,” Ilya said.
“I know,” Shane said. He just couldn’t imagine Ilya interacting with that sweet woman. Or her asking him to call her by her first name. “Why? I mean, why did you get them?”
“You have better things to do?” Ilya asked.
“I have a phone. And a laptop. And there’s a television,” Shane said.
Ilya squinted dismissively. “Screen is bad. Melts your brain.”
“You sound like my mom,” Shane said, a little softer than he intended and smiling reluctantly.
Ilya tilted his head. “This does it for you?”Shane and Ilya learn what it's like spending time together with their clothes still on.
