Vi notices that Caitlyn’s knee is touching hers now, that both of her long legs have snaked their way under her body and she’s sitting on her heels. This position gives her a little more height over Vi, not that she needed it before, and it’s giving Vi an amazing view of Caitlyn’s top half. Vi closes her eyes again so as not to stare. She will not allow herself to ruin this sentimental moment with how turned on she is.
“Let me take care of you, Violet.”

Vi’s eyes dart along the name, the bright screen causing her to squint as she continues reading and re-reading until the letters start to jumble up.
5 letters. Just 5 letters.
All it takes is 5 letters to turn Vi’s world upside down.
“Leona? Who’s Leona?” she mumbles, daring to glance up at Caitlyn, the latter in the process of trying to fish her phone back from where Vi’s holding it at a full arm’s length away. Vi doesn’t budge, bracketing her into the corner of her kitchen counter with a shoulder.
“C’mon Vi, does it matter?” she replies, finally getting her words together, her eyes going round in an attempt to look more vulnerable when she realises Vi isn’t letting her go anywhere. It doesn’t work.
“I had a nice time last night, let’s do it again sometime… I think we woke my neighbours up?” Vi reads, ignoring the way her voice goes shrill at the end, her heart pounding as she swallows back a lump in her throat.
“God, this is so embarrassing, give me my phone back-”
“You’re into girls?”

Caitlyn looked at her boarding pass for her connecting flight and sighed, sounding tired. “The flight home is always my least favorite part of any trip.”
Vi couldn’t relate - she got homesick real bad, and while she’d loved being at the Games, even the air felt better now that she was back in Zaun.
“Do you…do you maybe…” Vi shook her head. “Nah, it’s stupid.”
Because it was. It was so stupid.
Caitlyn’s face shifted from unreadable to curious. “What is it?”
Nerves fizzing around in her chest, Vi took a deep breath.
Fuck it.
“If you don’t have anything important waiting…do you maybe wanna stay?”

Vi’s eyes widened, moving from the tv screen to the woman still sitting quietly at the bar, a rocks glass in front of her.
She had dark hair…she was slender…she had legs for days…and…her beanie was Piltover colors.
Vi walked forward the final few strides and slid in next to her.
Vi cleared her throat, doing her best not to startle her, “Is uh…is that you?” she asked, inclining her head toward the screen when the woman - Gods, she was fucking gorgeous - lifted her head to look at Vi with beautiful, curious blue eyes.
