This thing with Iyo was nice.
Really nice, even.
It was in-fact so nice that Rhea was already worrying about fucking it up to some degree, so nice that they hadn’t even put a label to it yet—but even then that was a pretty mild concern in comparison to all the other bullshit that she had to contend with on the daily.
She’s sitting in gorilla, watching Iyo wrestle on the monitor, pumping her fist or clapping every time she lands a move or finishes a sequence; her intensity and flair for showmanship evident in every precise movement. Iyo had an unrelenting passion for what she does, and everyday Rhea feels that love and passion brush off on her.
Just being in Iyo’s presence made her want to be better.

Without thinking she gently guides her thumb along the sharp edge of her cheekbones, fingers lingering to further trace the curve of her jaw.
She remembers when she first met Rhea, how bright eyed and brutish she was, how short and blonde her hair used to be. How they had wrestled on such short notice during the Mae Young Classic.
How it felt like magic.
