“Since everything ended, Vi has been plagued by insomnia. She’s spent long nights on her back staring so hard at the ceiling it starts to swirl and buzz, like moving water. For the first three days after, she doesn’t sleep. On the fourth night, she finally slips into sleep, and she’s rewarded with the anomaly.”
As a psych major and menty b haver I think about healing process on the regular. The effects trauma, grief, neuroplasticity, and all of the ways we put ourselves back together. It seemed only right for me to examine this in a Caitvi context.

The angel was gone. Zipped up to heaven like reverse lightning, leaving Crowley behind as scorched remnants of the current touching the earth. He certainly felt scorched. Something long scabbed over itched in him, a reminder of how it felt for Her grace to be ripped away. How in the first days, his body ached and shocked at the loss, a sort of phantom limb sensation sparking at his being.

The wooden wall was hard against Crowley’s back, unforgiving as Aziraphale crushed his mouth to his. He’d already forgotten what they’d been arguing over. It had been a few decades, longer than most of their petty feuds. But, he’d found him here, in America of all places, and now they were devouring each other's faces in a stable out west.

He’d said it like something casual but it was filled with innuendo, and Aziraphale’s eyes had gotten dark. He’d set the wine down, leaning forward to rest a hand on Crowley’s thigh. It settled like a weight there, burning hot and searing the alcohol out of Crowley’s blood.
“How would you like that, hm?” He’d asked. “A whole day, where you must keep your hands to yourself. Hm, better yet, you’re not allowed to come until I say either. A tease, just for you. My hands, all over you, but no release.”

Summary
All her life, Rumi was taught she was wrong. She should have been a beta, she should have been fully human, she wasn't anything like what Celine had wished. So she tried. Hiding her patterns, taking suppressants to be seen as a beta, thinking of herself as a mistake, of something infected with all the wrong in the world. Then she found a journal left from her mother, learned about the ways she was loved, realized she didn't have to fit into Celine's perfect idea of her, and she stopped trying to be.
Now she just has to tell Mira and Zoey that she's an omega, that she's half demon, and maybe most importantly, she's their mate.
